Excursions L'Omirlou at Bonaventure in Gaspesie

Are you ready for an exciting sea fishing expedition? Hop on board with skipper Sylvain Arsenault and his deckhand Louis-Philippe and experience a day in the life of an inshore fisherman.
 
From early April to late September, crew members of the fishing vessel L’Omirlou commercially fish several species, including lobster, herring, flounder, mackerel and rock crab. The crew also enjoys sport fishing for halibut and mackerel in addition to offering room and board to expedition customers.
 
Fishing – a way of life passed down from generation to generation
 
Sylvain is passionate about the sea and his work, and has plied his trade for over 25 years.

His son, Louis-Philippe, has fished with him since the age of 16. It just goes to show that fishing is still a family tradition!
